Starehe lawmaker Charles Njagua alias Jaguar on Monday 28th June 2021 underwent surgery at a Nairobi hospital after developing complications with a knee that had been operated on before.

The former musician was wheeled into the operating theatre on Monday morning having been booked for the surgery on Sunday 27th June.

Speaking to a local media house, fellow musician and DK Kwenye Beat revealed that Jaguar had dealt with the recurring knee pains for a while and at one point sought medical treatment in India.

The artist posted a video of Jaguar being wheeled out of a lift by two uniformed hospital attendees.

"You are a fighter and nothing can keep you down," DK Kwenye Beat captioned the video " Fight the time and have a complete and swift recovery."

Jaguar first broke his leg in July 2018 after attempting to intervene in a protest at Marikiti Market. Traders at the market were protesting harassment by Nairobi City County officials.

Police lobbed teargas to disperse the protesters and Jaguar suffered a fracture on his right knee while running away.

He was rushed to Karen Hospital where the knee was plastered up but has seemingly never quite healed.
