  • According to Kabogo, many people have expressed interest in the presidency, but there is only one man to watch.

Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has made his prediction regarding the 2022 General Election, stating that ODM leader Raila Odinga will be the man to watch.

According to Kabogo, Raila’s decision on either vying for the Presidency or endorsing someone else will be a game-changer in the 2022 elections.

He predicted that in terms of alliances, there will be two major forces with one big a huge coalition bringing together several parties, while the other one will be a small one.

“…If Raila just steps up and says Bull Fighter tosha that becomes a whole ball game, so he is a man to watch. Watch carefully, but at the end of this, what is going to happen in 2022 will be two coalitions; one very huge coalition and one small coalition. I’m not a prophet, neither am I a witch but I can see,” Kabogo said during an interview on Thursday night.

During the same interview, former Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale noted that Raila is playing cagey with the 2022 election because he does not want to upset the handshake.

He, however, noted that it is highly likely that the former Premier will go for the top seat in 2022.

Addressing the issue of seeking endorsements, Kabogo warned politicians against this behaviour, arguing that this is the fastest way to lose in an election.

“Please do not look for endorsements; that endorsement will take you home quickly… If you ask Uhuru Kenyatta the President today, would he have wished to have been endorsed by Moi, he’d say no because it is probably because of Moi’s endorsement that Uhuru did not make it in 2002,” Kabogo said.

Kabogo’s point of view on endorsements was supported by Khalwale who argued that those seeking endorsements are “weaklings”.
