The father to Masten Wanjala Milimu has washed his hands clean of the 20-year-old who is suspected to have kidnapped and killed 13 minors over a 5 year period.

Speaking to the media, Robert Wanjala Watira revealed that the suspected serial killer was the only son of his marriage with Edna Nabalayo that hit the rocks even before the child was born.

Upon their separation, Nabalayo moved to Machakos with their son where she settled and later remarried.

Robert lost contact with the mother of his child and did not take an active role in raising his son until he was 18 when he travelled to Bungoma at the behest of his mother.

She wanted him to get to know his father.

Robert then enrolled his son at a nearby primary school where he only lasted a term before dropping out and disappearing from his father's home.

In 2020, Milimu's sister visited Robert in Bungoma where she informed him that his son was being sought in connection with the murder of a child in Machakos.

It was the first time Robert heard of his son being on the wrong side of the law.

A year later, Masten Wanjala is on the headlines for killing 13 minors in cold blood.

He has since been held in remand for a 30 day period where he will lead the police in a mission to retrieve the bodies of his victims.
