Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has confirmed an incident where a customer collapsed and died at one of its branches in Nairobi.

The bank in a press statement said one of their clients at the KCB Advantage Branch that is along Moi Avenue in Nairobi collapsed and died on Thursday afternoon.

The bank officials say the branch has been closed temporarily.

"We regret to confirm that a customer at our KCB Advantage Branch, Moi Avenue, Nairobi collapsed and died this afternoon during a visit to the branch.

"The incidence was reported to the police and they took over the matter. We condole and stand with the family during this difficult time," the management said in a statement.

The bank has since asked its clients to use alternative banking services as ATMs, Cash Deposit Machines, KCB Mobi, KCB Mpesa, Vooma and Interest Banking.
