Three police officers captured on video taking bribes will face disciplinary action from the Internal Affairs Unit of the Kenya Police Service.

The three officers were captured in a video that went viral by a civilian having invented an almost foolproof method for taking bribes.

The grainy video shows three uniformed traffic police officers at work on a relatively busy Kangundo road.

As is the norm, they wave vehicles down to a stop but in this case, do not even approach the slowing cars and matatus.

Instead, one of two civilians runs to the vehicles and takes what is assumed to be a bribe.

At no point does the police officer interact with the driver or the conductor in the case of a matatu.

This seemingly reliable arrangement all came down crashing after it was caught on tape with the video trending on social media over the weekend.
