ODM leader Raila Odinga has excited netizens with his Tuesday morning tweet commenting on Mejja’s viral hit ‘Tabia za Wakenya’.

In his tweet, Odinga borrowed a line from the song where Mejja notes that Kenyans are timely when attending parties, but late for all other engagements. According to Odinga, this is a true and very creative way of framing Kenyans.

Mejja’s Tabia za Wakenya hit was playing somewhere this morning and it got me thinking it is true!: Masaa na mkenya lazima atachelewa lakini sherehe?!….. Our Musicians are really creative. Wonderful week ahead fellow countrymen!”

Odinga’s tweet elicited massive reactions with some netizens questioning the authenticity of his post, while others appreciated him for recognizing Mejja’s talent.

By press time, Mejja was yet to comment on Raila’s tweet.

In the song ‘Tabia za wa Kenya’, Mejja highlights peculiar behaviors that you’ll only witness in Kenya.

He hilariously narrates how Kenyans have a talent in predicting the weather; they insist that the hot sun indicates that it’s about to rain, how the customer is the one who says thanks instead of the seller, and if a customer says “nitarudi” that means he’ll never come back among others.
