Musician Alex Apoko popularly known as Ringtone arrived in an ambulance on Thursday at Kibera Law Courts for the hearing of a case in which blogger Robert Alai is accused of assaulting him.

Photos emerging on social media show the controversial musician in a fully equipped ambulance with a health worker attending to him.

"Ringtone is leaving hospital headed to court for his case against Robert Alai. It's from 9 am at Kibera Law Courts, all are welcome," an early morning post done by Ringtone's manager said.

The hearing failed to happen after the Director of Public Prosecutions recalled the case file.

Ringtone and Robert Alai were involved in a scuffle on Friday on July 23, 2021 after a minor road accident on Loitoktok road.

In an act of road rage, Robert Alai allegedly assaulted the musician.

A video that quickly went viral on social media shows the two exchanging words with the musician on the bonnet of his Range Rover.

The driver's window on the Range Rover is shattered and Rington is bleeding.

The video shows Alai angrily gesturing at Ringtone all this time with a Rungu in hand.

The blogger was later arrested and locked up at Kilimani Police Station before his release over the weekend.

Ringtone has since claimed that he used over Ksh 500,000 in treatment and preparing his vehicle.
