The family of the late Caroline Kangogo has fulfilled one of her last wishes as her body was draped in her wedding gown before her burial.

This was one of the list of wishes Kangogo allegedly left behind on her phone before committing suicide in her family's bathroom on Friday, July 16th.

The family however declined to honour Kangogo's wish to have her body cremated.

The police force did not take an active role in the funeral with reports indicating that they only received an acknowledgement during the funeral proceedings.

This is in stark contrast to the funeral of one of Kangogo's victims Constable John Ogweno who was buried with full police honours on Friday, June 23rd.

Corporal Kangogo's funeral which took place on Thursday at her parents' home in Anin, Elgeyo Marakwet county closes the curtains on one of Kenya's most sensational cases.

Corporal Kangogo held the nation hostage over a two week period after allegedly killing Constable Ogweno and Peter Ndwiga in a 24 hour period starting on July 5th.

She would be hunted by a multi-agency force that included a commando team roped in from the military.

Kangogo would be found in her parents' bathroom on July 16th with a single bullet wound to her head.

Police reports indicate that she committed suicide.
