A section of Jubilee Party leaders has announced plans to roll out an initiative dubbed ‘Wanjiku revolution’ meant to neutralize the viral Hustler Movement wave initiated by Deputy President William Ruto.

Working under a group dubbed Jubilee reloaded, youthful Members of Parliament allied to the ruling party hope to traverse different parts of the country, and connect with the people while highlighting successes of the Jubilee government.

The group has reportedly crafted a document capturing Jubilee’s main achievements that include; agriculture reforms especially in the tea and coffee sector, improved healthcare access, provision of funds to the marginalized groups through; Uwezo Fund, Youth Fund, and cash transfer to the elderly, multi-billion infrastructure projects across the country and the recently launched boda boda investment scheme among others.

Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu; an insider in Jubilee reloaded told a local daily that their aim is to engage directly with the local mwananchi i.e. the mama mbogas, boda boda riders among others and share their plan going forward.

“We had given enough time to the hustler nation proponents. We are now taking the political war to their doorstep by going out and listening to the people and also share with them the successes of the Jubilee party.

“We want to get to the people and show them that the Bottom Up approach UDA is talking about is already in place and being implemented under President Kenyatta’s government,” he told a local daily.

On his part, Kieni MP Kanini Kega said the party is in good spirits and ready to move across the country with the new initiative.

“We are now active more than ever after our good performance in Muguga ward and Kiambaa constituency by-elections. We are emboldened and will move across the country to the people. We are unstoppable,” he was quoted.

Over the past few months, DP Ruto and his team have been popularizing the Hustler Narrative and bottom-up economics across the country.

Last week, bottom-up economics was one of the most discussed topics in the country; an indication that Ruto and his team are controlling the conversation.

With the ‘Wanjiku Revolution’, Jubilee hopes to counter the Hustler Narrative and silence the DP and his team who pundits claim has made headway among the 2022 presidential hopefuls.
