Deputy President William Ruto is today (Thursday) expected to host over 100 Members of Parliament (MPs) allied to the Hustler Nation at his Karen residence in Nairobi.

The meeting has been confirmed by a section of legislators who noted that the main agenda will be to deliberate on national matters.

Speaking during an interview on Thursday morning, Soy MP Caleb Kositany; who also doubles up as a close ally of the DP noted that the gathering is more like a Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting for lawmakers who believe in Ruto’s ideology.

On the specific issues that will be discussed at the meeting, Kositany noted that the agenda will be on the bottom-up economic model and the 2022 general election.

“…I’m attending a PG Meeting where like-minded Members of Parliament from across the political divide we are meeting the Deputy President this morning to discuss how we are going to push forward bottom up economic model and how we are going to engage further as we approach the next election.

“From Tuesday next week, we’ll have one year to the next general election…Those of us who believe William Ruto can do it are meeting, we are strategizing on how to move forward,” he said.

Additional reports indicate that DP Ruto’s recent blocked trip to Uganda may also be a subject of discussion in the meeting.

The leaders are expected to issue a statement on the way forward after their deliberations with the DP.
