Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria was conspicuously missing at the Hustlers Nation Parliamentary Group meeting which was held at Deputy President William Ruto's Karen residence.

The PG was allegedly attended by over 100 MPs with photos of the colourfully dressed legislators being shared on social media.

Hon Kuria was not featured in any photo.

The outspoken lawmaker has been a constant presence in the Hustler Nation events and led the United Democratic Alliance Kiambaa constituency campaigns which the party's candidate John Wanjiku won.

Hon Moses Kuria's absence was quickly noted by journalists present at the event.

A member of the media questioned Garissa Town MP Aden Duale on Hon Kuria's party on reports of wrangles between the Moses Kuria linked party People Empowerment Party (PEP) and UDA.

"On PEP, the only member of PEP who is a member of Hustler Nation is here," Hon Duale said referring to Hon George Koimburi who Hon Kuria campaigned for.

The question about Moses Kuria was successfully evaded by the former majority leader.

This raised more questions on social media as Kenyans wondered whether the Deputy President had lost one of his key allies in the Mt Kenya region.

The 100+ leaders at the meeting signed a statement where they called out the handshake for distracting the government from performing its duties.

The statement also featured a breakdown of the 'bottom up' agenda and how it would improve the livelihoods of the 15 million Kenyans at the bottom of the pyramid.
