President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday 10 August 2021 held a meeting with ODM leader Raila Odinga and One Kenya Alliance (OKA) leaders Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and KANU chairman Gideon Moi at State House Mombasa.

According to a statement issued by State House spokesperson Kanze Dena, Kenyatta discussed several issues affecting the country with the leaders. 


President Uhuru Kenyatta and Political party leaders Raila Odinga,Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and Gideon Moi. 

"His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday held a consultative meeting with a cross-section of political party leaders to discuss several subjects touching on the State of the Kenyan Nation. 

"Among the subjects discussed by the leaders were, Covid-19's impact on the country and how to revamp the economy; and the importance of maintaining peace, unity and national cohesion," the statement read in part. 

President Kenyatta has been pushing the Opposition to unite ahead of the 2022 General election. 

Reports indicate that the Head of State has been concerned by the disunity exhibited by the Opposition politicians, which was part of the agenda during the State House meeting in Mombasa.
