However, reacting to the meeting DP Ruto claimed they were on a power-sharing seeking mission yet they had never voted nor mobilized votes for the President.

The Deputy President accused the leaders of sabotaging Jubilee's agenda of empowering ordinary Kenyans to bring a selfish agenda onboard.

"It can not be our competitors and good friends from NASA abandoned the opposition, invaded our government, destroyed our party, and sabotaged the big four plan that was to benefit ordinary people, changed our priority, and brought a selfish agenda to change the constitution so that they can share positions and power. When that did not happen, they dismembered NASA and now they're camped at State House," DP Ruto stated.

At the same time, ANC leader Mudavadi said the consultative meeting was to discuss matters of the Nation.

“Yale tulizungumzia jana haikua fitina, hayakuwa mambo ya fitina. Tulizungumzia kwamba lengo letu liwe umoja wa taifa. Unity of Purpose for people of Kenya. This was a discussion on the State of the Nation na tukamaliza na hayo… We said we will continue to talk, but at the same time we must prepare for elections,” he said.
