The late Baby Pendo’s mother Lencer Achieng has delivered an emotional speech at the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) final report at the Bomas of Kenya.

In her speech, Baby Pendo’s mum called for peace and unity among Kenyans adding that it is her hope that Kenyans will never experience post-election violence.

Addressing politicians, she noted that they should been keen with their utterances not to incite youth into violence.

“…A flower was uprooted from my garden and it can never be replaced, I can be given another person but not the same person like Pendo. Kwa wanasiasa sisi wanakenya mkikuja kwetu muuze sera zenu tupige debewale wenye tujashinda tukubaliane na wenye wameshinda tupeleke Kenya yetu mbele… Nawaomba wanasiasa iwe mwisho wa kile ambacho kilitendeka 2017, familia yoyote isipoteze mtu wao,” she said.

Addressing President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga, Baby Pendo’s mother noted that she was happy that the two had decided to put their differences a part and work towards uniting Kenya.
