There was drama in Kabete area on Thursday after a man stormed the home of his ex-girlfriend and attacked her new lover leading to his death.
According to the DCI, the man identified as Joseph Macharia was angered by his ex-girlfriend Loise Kanini’s decision to host John Tagei at her home.
Macharia reportedly stormed Kanini’s house and attacked Tagei who was caught unawares.
“…On her way back, she met her ex-boyfriend Joseph Macharia, 33, who stopped her and demanded to know why she had hosted another man in her house. Kanini retorted that following their breakup, she had moved on with her life and the man inside her house had since taken her heart captive.
“This enraged Macharia so much that he stormed Kanini’s house with fury and attacked Tagei, who had already made himself comfortable. What followed was a confrontation that turned ugly, leaving Tagei with life threatening injuries,” DCI narrated.

After committing the crime, Macharia fled the scene leaving Tagei nursing serious body injuries.
Tagei was rushed to Wangige level IV hospital in critical condition, unfortunately, his condition worsened forcing him to be transferred to PCEA Thogoto hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.
A manhunt has been launched for Macharia who is expected to be charged with murder once he is arrested.
Meanwhile, the DCI has appealed to any Kenyans with information that may aid in arrest of Macharia to contact the agency.
