The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has denied claims that they are in talks with Kilifi Governor, Amason Kingi's new party, Pamoja African Alliance (PAA).

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has denied claims that they are in talks with Kilifi Governor, Amason Kingi's new party, Pamoja African Alliance (PAA).

In a statement on Twitter, ODM said the reports were misleading and there is nothing like ongoing talks with PAA.

"This article is MISLEADING. There are in fact no ongoing talks between ODM and PAA," said the Orange Party.

Kingi Led PAA also took to their Twitter page stating that the report was wrong and that the party is not in talks with any other party in Kenya.

"(Pamoja African Alliance) PAA is not in talks with any other political Party as of now. The contents of this article are therefore false and misleading," read the statement by PAA Secretariat.

Reports indicated that Governor Kingi is headed for a coalition agreement with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga after he turned down calls to join Deputy President William Ruto's UDA.

This comes a few days after Kingi who had been pushing for the formation of a coastal party was removed from his position as ODM party Chairman for Kilifi County.

He was then replaced by Ganze MP Teddy Mwambire.

A few days ago, PAA was linked to DP William Ruto, claims that Kingi has denied.

Meanwhile, ODM leader Raila Odinga is expected to hold a high-level meeting with Coast Orange party delegates on Saturday, September 17, 2021, at wild waters park in Nyali.

The meeting is to deliberate on how to strengthen the party in the Coast region through the recruitment of new members.
