Catherine Wawira; the mother of two brothers who allegedly died shortly after being arrested by police in Kianjokoma, has opened up on life after losing her sons over a month ago.

In an interview with TV47 on Saturday, Wawira noted that she is still coming to terms with the loss of her two sons; Emmanuel Mutura and Benson Njiru.

According to Wawira, there are a lot of things at her home that emotionally remind her of her two departed boys.

As a way of connecting with her late boys, Wawira noted that she visits their rooms and makes their beds daily, even though they are not there anymore. She noted that she’ll keep doing that as long as God gives her life.

“Kila siku naamka, napitia hizo bedroom zao natandika hizo vitanda zao hata kama hawako,” she said.

Last week, she collected the clothes and other belongings of her late son Emmanuel who was in Kabarak University.

While she notes that nothing can make up for the loss of her sons, Wawira hopes that justice will be served.

Already, six police officers have been arrested and in court in connection to the death of the two brothers.

The death of the two brothers elicited massive protests in the country; with Kenyans from across the country taking to social media to pile pressure on the relevant authorities to take action.
