We Must Unite to Contain Political Division in the Country – DP William Ruto

Deputy President William Ruto has said that Kenyans must come together and work towards ending political divisions in the country.

Speaking on Tuesday, when he made stopovers in Makueni and Machakos Counties, the second in command said a lot will be achieved when Kenyans are united.

He went on to say that unity will create a conducive environment for people to deal with issued based and people centred politics which will advance the country’s development.

“We must come together and work towards containing political divisions in our country. When united, we acquire more stamina to conduct issues-based, people-centred politics that advances our country’s transformation agenda,” said DP Ruto.

He was on his way back from a two-day South Eastern Bloc Economic Forum in Kajiado.

DP Ruto was accompanied by Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, MPs Victor Munyaka, Nimrod Mbai, Katoo Ole Metito, Josphat Kabeabea, Mary Seneta, former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama and former Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke.

Former Kaiti MP Gideon Ndambuki and former Kilome MP Regina Ndambuki were also present.

During the stop overs, the DP drummed up support for his Bottom-up economic model saying that it will present new and simpler investment opportunities for SMEs and small businesses.

He added that the model will offer affordable loans to young people to help them start businesses.

“The low-interest rate regime that the Bottom-Up Economic Model propagates presents a new investment environment that delivers SMEs and entrepreneurs from the bondage of shylocks, helping them access affordable loans to fulfill their start-up, cash flow and investment needs,” said DP Ruto.
