ODM Leader Raila Odinga has shared more details of his recently concluded Mt Kenya trip, noting that he received gifts for President Uhuru Kenyatta from a section of traders.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Odinga said he’ll make sure an armband from one of the traders is delivered to President Kenyatta.

Additionally, the former Premier noted that he was also gifted shoes and armbands for himself.

“Thank you Charles Gachara and Kaba Miano for the gift of shoes and arm bands. Nitatesa nazo! I will make sure I deliver to President Uhuru Kenyatta his armband as well,” he said.

UHURU'S GIFT

Over the past week, Odinga has been on a mission to popularize his #Inawezekana initiative among members of the Central Kenya community.

In the last three days, he’s visited Nakuru, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri among others. During the visit, the local leaders rallied behind Odinga noting that he is a good candidate to replace President Uhuru Kenyatta.

On Tuesday, Odinga held a meeting with a section of business leaders from the Mt Kenya region who also vowed to support him should he vie for the presidency.

While the ODM Leader is yet to officially declare whether he’ll vie for the presidency or not, many believe that his recent meeting and statement on key policy issues are part of his preparations for a fifth stab at the country’s top political office.
