News of his hospitalization was first shared on Twitter by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, who had paid him a visit in hospital.

Sudi said Chepkut is currently recuperating after he underwent treatment, but did not disclose which hospital he is admitted in.

“This morning I paid a visit to my friend and colleague @Chepkut_William who is currently receiving treatment in hospital. I wish you speedy recovery Mheshimiwa,” wrote Sudi.

The ainabkoi MP in a tweet also thanked the Kapseret MP for paying him a visit as he recuperates.

“My brother @HonOscarSudi passed by to wish me quick recovery. Asante bro,” he said.

They both did not reveal details of MP Chepkut’s ailment.

The pictures seen by Nairobi Leo, show the MP’s legs wrapped while he is on a hospital bed.

His hospitalization comes a few days after that of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who had his legs burnt by an electric mat he was using to warm his legs.

“…Because of travelling getting numb and tired, this guy managed to convince me to use a gadget which to the best of my opinion was authorized…This gadget happened to do a slow burning of my feet, I was trying to cure a problem by introducing a killer solution…

“I went home at night and my feet just exploded. I came here the following day, they said I had third-degree burns," he said.
