After safely delivering, she proceeded with her journey to the hospital.

Speaking after the incident, one of the ladies who aided with the delivery said she was forced to swing into action after being informed that the delivery process had commenced.

“Amejifungua ako sawa. Unajua kichwa ilikuwa inatoka mimi nlikuwa mpita njia, wamama wananiambia sasa tutafanya nini, nkawaambia acha niingie kwa gari, kichwa imetoka hawataki kusaidia, ndio nkaambia askari tusimamishiwe tuweke wrong side…,” she said in part.

Meanwhile, most major Nairobi roads are under renovations; thus causing traffic jams in various parts of the city.

For the better part of Monday morning, Mombasa Road users were stuck in traffic after a crane that was fixing parts of the road broke down on site.

KeNHA has issued a statement apologizing over the inconvenience and promised to ensure normal traffic flow resumes soonest possible.
