President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of condolence to the family, relatives, and friends of the founder of Dakawou Transporters, Haji Ahmed Nuur Abdulle who passed away on Saturday.
The President eulogised Abdulle, 69, as an outstanding entrepreneur and philanthropist who founded and successfully ran East Africa's largest Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) logistics company, Dakawou Transporters.
The President noted that through Dakawou Transporters and other business interests, the late Abdulle had created job opportunities for thousands of young Kenyans.
"Mr Abdulle was a humble but extremely hard working entrepreneur who contributed immensely to the growth of our economy by creating business opportunities for our people and jobs for many of our youth his logistics company and other businesses.
“Even as we mourn his death, we thank God for his fruitful life especially his entrepreneurial exploits that enabled him to contribute significantly to our country's economic transformation," the President mourned Abdulle who is also the owner of Premier Hospital, one of the largest private medical facilities in Mombasa.
Besides his businesses, the late Abdulle was as a committed philanthropist who partnered with like minded people to put up various educational and religious institutions in Mombasa and elsewhere across the country.
“Mr Abdulle was a dependable Kenyan patriot whose philanthropic deeds in Mombasa and across the country helped empower the vulnerable in our communities," the Head of State eulogised.
The President prayed to God to give the family of the departed businessman the fortitude and strength to mourn his demise.
