Mediamax owned television station K24 has yet again raided Ebru TV of some of its top Swahili news anchors.

A source privy to the details intimated to Nairobileo.co.ke that the two news anchors, Busara Naaman and Milliah Kisienya are set to report to work on November 1st, 2021.

The source further disclosed that Winnie Lubembe also resigned from the station that has now been left with one Swahili news anchor, who doubles up as a reporter, Davis Mberia.

Mberia was previously a sports news anchor.

The development comes a few days after K24 lost one of its top Swahili News anchors Zainab Said to the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) and are now looking to replace her as they boost the Swahili desk.

Zainab joined KBC as a news anchor and reporter and will be presenting the newly launched weekday County edition - Kurunzi Mashinani.

She worked at Mediamax as a news reporter and anchor with Milele FM before she made her debut on K24 TV on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

Several anchors who were fired by K24 last year made their TV comebacks this year as they joined KBC.

Among those who made their returns include; Shiksha Arora, Caren Kibett, Harith Salim and Ahmed Juma Bhalo among others.

“A year later, I am BACK, back like I never left. Catch me on @KBCChannel1 my new home. Thank you for always standing by my side, catch me this Friday at 9 PM, it’s time to create magic, with a brand new KBC. Are you ready?” said Ms Arora on her return to the screens.

Other news anchors who have also changed jobs include; Ben Kitili who left KTN News for Nation Media Group’s NTV.
