Africa's fastest sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala has landed a lucrative partnership with Oppo Mobile Telecommunications Corp.

The Chinese firm was the first to break the news of their deal on November 8, 2021 through their official Instagram page. 

In the statement, while recognizing his fete as Kenya's sensational sprinter, the company stated that something exciting was coming up between the two.

"New O-star! Who dis? Introducing our newest OPPO Reno6 5G star, the one and only Ferdinand Omanyala, the African record holder and 8th fastest man of all time in the 100 metres! Stay tuned.." the statement read in part.

The deal comes months after he lost two key partnerships, with the recent one being a law firm known as Snolegal Sports and Entertainment Law.

The firm mentioned that it had ended the legal and advisory services it had been rendering to Omanyala. 

"We commend our team for the tireless work they have done for Ferdinand, which continues to bear fruit," Snolegal Sports and Entertainment Law remarked.

Omanyala continues to enjoy public admiration and, to the extent of being feted as a hero by President Uhuru Kenyatta after winning the KipKeino classics at Kasarani Stadium on a new record 9.77 seconds. 

Kenya's leading betting firm Odibets has been supporting Omanyala through their Oditmtaani initiative.
