Kenyans on Twitter opined why Sports Journalist Carol Radull was best suited to be on the committee.


Sports journalist Carol Radull has been trending on Twitter for the better part of Thursday following the disbandment of the Football Kenya Federation(FKF). 

Sports CS Amina Mohamed disbanded the FKF management headed by Nick Mwendwa after receiving an audit report from Sports registrar Rose Wasike.

The CS then formed a caretaker committee to run football operations in the country.

The Caretaker Committee Members include: Justice (Rtd.) Ringera, General (Rtd.) Moses Oyugi, Fatma Adan (Hodi), Philip Musyimi Mue, Anthony L. Isayi, Elisha Chepchieng Kiplagat, Hassan Mahmoud Haji, Fredrick Tureisa Lekesike, Mwangi Muthee, Neddy Atieno Okoth, Ali Amour, Titus Kasuve, Richard Omwela, Bobby Ogola, and J.J. Masiga

CS Amina further appointed a Secretariat to the Caretaker Committee comprising; Linda Ogutu - Head of Secretariat, Michael Muchemi - Secretary, Lorine Nerea Shitubi - Joint Secretary, Caesar Handa, Habo Mwachiro, Edward Rombo, Hiba Hussein, Gabriel Warigi, Dr. Walter Ongeti, Rashid Khamisi Ali Shedu, Hon. Racheal Kamweru, and Robin Toskin.Immediately the names were announced, KTN's Linda Ogutu was part of the list who held head of the secretariat.

Following the list, Kenyans opined that Carol Radull should have been part of the committee due to her knowledge of the sport.

A section of netizens argued that Carol had spearheaded efforts like Jaza Stadi and brought to light issues bedeviling sports in the country yet she was not picked by Amina.

"We all know Amina J.Mohammed is struggling with the Sports docket; instead of involving Carol Radull in the caretakers' committee, they outrightly put in some old men without a clue on football," SEO Kenya stated.

"Did you decline to be part of this caretaker committee? If @AminaJMohammed understand sports in Kenya and people who may get grassroot support and information she should have included you as No. 1, but maybe she knows better..."Gkwamu inquired.

"Can Linda Ogutu even name the first eleven for Kakamega Homeboyz,,,,,, it's either they give Carol Radull the job ama kenya tuishi tu ivyo without playing football," David Josh pointed out.

"How Carol Radull isn't on this list to push sports agenda in this nation beats me! This is a person so passionate about sports....does she lack the snobbish pedigree that Ambassador Amina Mohammed was looking for when appointing these people?" Mumbi wa Mumbi wondered.
