Tokyo Marathon winner and World recorder holder Eliud Kipchoge was honoured with a Samurai Kabuto helmet by Isuzu Motor Company.
The Japanese company awarded Kipchoge for his long achievements and setting world records, such as becoming the first man to run 26.2 miles(42KM) under 2 hours.
Speaking at the ceremony, Isuzu East Africa's Managing Director, Rita Kavashe, stated that as a company, they were pleased for the continuous support by Kipchoge as the brand ambassador to Isuzu D-Max and appreciated their long friendship since 2017.

Kipchoge was presented the award by the company board Chairman Hiroshi Hisatomi on behalf of the Isuzu Motors Limited Japan President Masanori Katayama.
"Persons with the character of Eliud Kipchoge's happen rarely in the world. His achievements are legendary but he still finds time to focus on the development of young athletes, promotion of environmental protection initiatives.
"And expansion of educational opportunities for children by establishing the Kipchoge Foundation," Hisatomi stated.
In appreciating the recognition, Kipchoge dwelt on the need of having positive thoughts, which he follows during his daily activities. He continue to urge each person in the world to adopt his trait to succeed.
The helmet is symbolic of Japan's culture, which the Samurai warriors wore during combat, and is one of Japan's highest traditional awards.
Kipchoge's award comes days after receiving a warm reception at the Paris Saint-Germain F.C. stadium in France. He's a testament to his famous slogan ' No human is limited'.
