  • The NDC was one of the most-awaited political events this month, as reports indicated that the party was going to officially kick out Deputy President William Ruto and his allies

The Jubilee Party has reportedly postponed it National Delegates Conference (NDC) meeting that was scheduled to take place in Nairobi on November 30, 2021.

Sources privy to the postponement noted that it was due to the President’s State of the Nation Address set to be issued in Parliament on the same day.

According to Nyeri MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, the postponement was also occasioned by the numerous pending Bills in Parliament which the lawmakers need to finalise before their long end of year recess.

“The Jubilee Party NDC has been pushed back a few days past 30/11/2021 for two reasons: The President will present this year’s State of The Nation Address at Parliament on 30th November 2021. It has been found not tenable to do that, and the Party NDC, on the same day.

“Parliament has a couple of important Bills that need to be complete before we break for the long recess on 2/12/2021,” Ngunjiri’s statement read in part.

Regarding when the party is likely to hold the NDC, Ngunjiri noted that; “The NDC will therefore be done immediately after Bunge breaks for recess. Those waiting with anxiety for what we will do… Relax.”

The NDC was one of the most-awaited political events this month, as reports indicated that the party was going to officially kick out Deputy President William Ruto and his allies off the party.

As it stands, DP Ruto is still Jubilee’s Deputy Party Leader even though he has been marketing and campaigning for UDA Party across the country.
