A section of rowdy youth on Tuesday, November 7, attempted to break into Kabete Police Station following the killing of six people by a rogue policeman.

Police Constable Benson Imbas killed six people in Kabete, Kiambu County in the morning hours of Tuesday before turning the gun on himself.

In the video seen by Nairobileo.co.ke, a section of the youth who took to the streets to protest the killings of the six attempted to break into Kabete station before they were repelled by police officers.

The police officers lobbed teargas canisters at the youth to prevent them from breaking in.

Kabete residents lit bonfires and barricaded the road at Kangemic area with stones over the killing of the six.

"Why are they killing our people? They never help us with anything. Why are they killing innocent souls and leaving several others fighting for their lives in Kenyatta National Hospital?" one of the protesting youth asked.

Police managed to repel the protests and restore normalcy in the area.
