Mwai Kibaki: He was the second most searched personality following his 90th birthday celebration last November.

Google Technology company has released a list of the most searched personalities in Kenya.

In a press release on Wednesday, December 8, Google in the continued culture of its annual look of top trending Google searches showcased individuals who were looked for on the internet for the year 2021.

Google Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Ms Sharon Macharia noted that their analysis provided more in-depth details to things that caught the attention of Kenyans.

"Just as Search can help you explore and discover a world of information, these are many ways to explore the year through the lens of Google Search. Google's 2021 Year in Search Lists compiles the moments, people, topics, events, and places that captured Kenyans' attention during the year," Macharia stated.

Here is the list of Ten Top Most Searched Kenyan personalities:

Mukisha Kituyi: He was the top trending search personality. According to Google, following his announcement to retire from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development(UNTCAD) to vie for the presidency fueled Kenyans curiosity.

Also, his accusation of assaulting and being reported to the police in Mombasa added to the search query by Kenyans.

Mwai Kibaki: He was the second most searched personality following his 90th birthday celebration last November.

Martha Koome: She came third place after her appointment to be Kenya's first female Chief Justice taking over from David Maraga.

Eliud Kipchoge: He came fourth following his victory at the Tokyo Olympics taking home a gold medal.

Other Kenyan personalities in their respective order are; Deputy President William Ruto, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, Former Attorney General Charles Njonjo, Dagoretti South MP Simba Arati, Africa's fastest man in 100m race Ferdinand Omanyala and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.
