Amani National Congress leader, Musalia Mudavadi has announced that he will not attend former Premier Raila Odinga's event at Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi County.
Mudavadi stated that due to personal engagements, he will not be able to attend the much-hyped Azimio la Umoja convention on Friday, December 10, 2021.
"As noted herein, the invitation was addressed in my personal capacity as ANC Party Leader and not OKA Principal. Regrettably, I will not be able to attend because of personal engagements. Raila Odinga is a worthy competitor, I wish him well because tomorrow will clearly be his day in the sun," Musalia tweeted.
His announcement comes hours after Odinga made an inspection of the ongoing works at the International Stadium on Thursday morning.
The former premier was accompanied by the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) party members and Media Mogul Samuel Kamau (S.K)Macharia.
Suna East Member of Parliament- Junet Mohammed claimed that the event would be a historic one and that his party leader would use the much-awaited event to launch his bid.
The August House Minority leader further called onto Kenyans to turn in large numbers as they anticipated everyone they had invited including the dignitaries.
"The Prime Minister came to check on what the committee has done and he is happy with the preparation. I want to tell Kenyans that we are ready for them. Tomorrow is a big day for this country and they should come in large numbers from all over the country," Junet remarked.
