A 29-year-old man is fighting for his life at a Nairobi hospital after he was stabbed several times by the husband of a woman with who he was spending the night.
According to a report by DCI, the victim identified as Kangechu was at the woman's matrimonial home when her husband busted them in his bedroom around 4 am on Monday, December 13.
"Before Kangechu knew what was happening, he was stabbed several times by the man whom he later learnt was the woman’s husband," DCI statement reads.
The victim reported, DCI says, that he met the woman at a bar in Donholm around 9 pm on Sunday, December 12, where they enjoyed several rounds of drinks as they enjoyed their newfound friendship.
Kangechu, who lives in Joska, agreed to meet with the woman at her house where they would extend their good moments.

The man of the house, however, unexpectedly came back home and found the two in his house leading to a push and pull.
"What followed was a confrontation that turned ugly, leaving Kangechu in serious condition after being stabbed severally.
"The woman also suffered slight injuries on her fingers, as she tried to prevail upon her knife-wielding husband to give dialogue a chance," DCI statement adds.
The incident got the attention of the neighbours who made calls to police officers from the Savannah police post.
The officers acted swiftly on the distress call and salvaged the situation before it got worse.
It is the officers who rushed the victim, who sustained serious injuries, to the city hospital for treatment.
