President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday evening, December 22 drove himself in his Range Rover to preside over the opening of the tallest building in Kenya.
The Global Trade Center in Westlands, Nairobi County boasts of a six-tower complex and soared to life yesternight with a display of fireworks.
The event attracted key business leaders drawn from Kenya and across Africa placing, Nairobi as the go-to place for foreign investments.

"The President was accompanied by Nairobi Metropolitan Services DG Lt. Gen. Mohamed Badi, Foreign Affairs PS Amb. Macharia Kamau and Gender CAS Beatrice Elachi among other senior Gov't officials," State House remarked.
According to GTC, the project cost Ksh40 billion and the six tower complex is a 47-level 3A Plus Office Tower,9 floors taller than UAP towers in Upperhill and with a 35-level hotel tower hosting Luxury US 5 star JW Marriott hotel.
The GTC website indicates its a mixed development and true to that, it has four residential apartment towers of 24 to 28 levels for the global citizens.
“The trade centre in Westlands hosts three new complex towers as well as sports and hospitality facilities. Baptised the Dream City, GTC boasts of a 32-storey 5-Star hotel, a 42-storey tower for offices, and another 32-storey serviced apartments tower,” GTC remarked.
