Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has hosted a Christmas party for children at his Riat Hills home in Kisumu County.

The ODM leader was fully dressed in Santa clothes including the signature Marvin hat.

According to pictures shared on social media, Raila appears to enjoy the moment even as he played with the children.

"Today #BabaClaus hosted a Christmas fun day at my Kisumu home for my children from different children’s homes, and boy, did we have a lot of fun! Merry Christmas and happy holidays!," Raila Tweeted.

All the children were perfectly dressed for the occasion as they were also pictured with Santa Marvin hats on their heads.

Raila is later scheduled to officially open the Kisumu City street party on Friday, December 24, at 8:00 pm.

Wanga revealed that Kisumu City management has partnered with two major Multinational corporations- Coca-cola and Kenya Breweries Limited- to host the event.

Local artists have also been contacted to grace the event. Jomo Kenyatta Highway and Oginga Odinga streets have been closed for two days to pave the way for the event.

"On 24th to 25th, we're closing the streets in Kisumu. The governor is opening the street for a Christmas party. We have listed 24 restaurants, 11 wine sellers…and we have 4 musicians and a children's playing area. We're welcoming all the residents of Kisumu for the street bash, Hollywood-style," stated Wanga.
