The tragedy comes hours after another man was mauled to death in Witeithie, Juja, by the same predators while on his way home from a quarry in the area.

DCI says the clan is of about 20 hyenas.

DCI stated that a multi-agency team from the National Police Service, Kenya Wildlife Service and other local law enforcement agencies has been deployed to track the predators.

"We urge residents in the said areas to continue exercising caution and beware of the dangerous carnivores, whose attacks in their numbers are dreadful and deadly. Measures to hunt down and eradicate this threat is underway," the DCI added.
