Citizen TV news anchor, Waihiga Mwaura has been handed a new managerial role at the Royal Media Services.

Nairobi Leo can authoritatively reveal that the news anchor has been handed a managerial role that will see him become the Managing Editor for Multimedia at Citizen TV.

The new role comes comes about one year and four months after he was promoted to become the Special Projects Editor following Asha Mwilu's exit.

A cross check by this writer on his Linkedin bio indicates that the news anchor began his new role at the S. K. Macharia owned TV station in December 2021.

Waihiga who doubles up as a news anchor will continue serving as the Special Projects Editor as well.

The news anchor joined Citizen TV in 2009 as a Sports anchor and went on work in the same capacity for more than 7 years.

He was then reassigned as a news anchor in 2017 a role he continues to play to date, in addition to his other roles at the Royal Media Services.
