The attacks continue despite the government through the Interior Ministry imposing a 30-day dusk-to-dawn curfew on areas affected by insecurity in Lamu

Residents of Juhudi, Salama and Widhu villages in Majembeni, Lamu County spent the night in the cold following an attack in Salama.

According to reports, two people were killed and several houses torched in the night attack marred by heavy gunfire.

The locals were forced to spend the night in schools, at the market in the neighbouring Kibaoni village and others in the forest after assailants fired several rounds of ammunitions forcing them to flee.
