Armed officers raided businessman Jimi Wanjigi's offices on Monday evening in Westlands, Nairobi County.

Reports indicate that an unknown number of officers arrived at the Kwacha Group of companies' offices at around 9.30 pm.

According to images shared on social media captured on CCTV, the officers are seen standing at Wanjigi's officers waiting to gain access.

Another image shared by lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi indicates that the officers might have gained access to a section of the building.

It's not clear what the motive of the raid by the officers is.

Jimi is seeking to be the ODM flagbearer for the 2022 August election and has openly dared Raila Odinga to face him in the nominations.

The Presidential aspirant recently vowed to fight for democracy in the Orange party.

"We will not tire to fight for democracy within the ODM Party. As a National party, members have the final say on who should represent them & that is non-negotiable," Wanjigi stated.
