Police said the body had a written message that reads "bwana ya mtu ni sumu".

Police are investigating an incident where a woman was murdered and her body dumped near a police base.

Police report indicates that the body of the woman was stashed in a nylon sack and put in a briefcase before it was dumped outside the General Service Unit (GSU) Recce squad base in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

The report was made at Mugutha police station in Juja by members of the public.

"Police officers visited the scene and confirmed that there was a body of an unknown African female adult in her early twenties which had been stashed in a nylon sack and put in a black suitcase," the police report read.

The deceased woman's hands were tied at the back. Her legs were as well tied with manila ropes. She had also been tied around the neck with a nylon rope.

The woman, who is believed to have been murdered, had deep cuts on her body.

"The body had a visible deep cut on the left breast. She had ink writings on the chest, both palms and both thighs which read Bwana ya mtu ni sumu," police report added.

Police officers processed the crime scene and her body was moved to City Mortuary awaiting identification and autopsy.
