Jasper Muthomi popularly known as MC Jessy has joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party linked to Deputy President William Ruto.
MC Jessy, who is eyeing the South Imenti parliamentary seat, said he had settled on UDA as the vehicle for the August elections after consultations with South Imenti people.
"It’s now clear where the vision is heading. After many days of consultative meetings with my South Imenti people I have officially been invited to join UDA. The ground work that has been done has finally landed on the side of winning team.
"When I got the call from the chief Hustler Inviting me, I had to heed my People’s call and his call to join the winning Team. And may the work of redefining South Imenti Now begin," he said.

On Monday, November 8, the Churchill Show comedian announced his entry to politics after he met elders in Meru County.
MC Jessy shared photos after meeting elders from his community who gave him their blessings to vie for the South Imenti MP seat.
“I was grateful and humbled by the elders that raised me and who are from my home constituency of South Imenti when they honoured and bestowed on me the blessings and responsibilities to lead them as the Member of Parliament,” Jessy stated.
