  • Muthama fell out with the ODM leader whom he supported in the 2013 and 2017 general elections, after the handshake with President Kenyatta.

Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has said that Kenyans will teach ODM Leader Raila Odinga a lesson in the August 9th, 2022 General Elections.

Taking to Twitter, Muthama said Mr Odinga had highly lost ground since he went for the golden handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He cautioned Kenyans to be wary of the former Prime Minister’s theatrics saying that he is not the man they all knew in the past.

The former senator also accused the ODM leader of using the media to show that he can draw crowds and that he has people on his side.

“Beware of @RailaOdinga theatrics. He is using media to show that he can draw crowds and he has the people. The Tinga of now is not @RailaOdinga of yesteryears. This man has lost ground since he went for fake handshake. He will be taught a lesson by Kenyans on August 9th 2022,” said Muthama.

Muthama who is eyeing the Machakos Gubernatorial seat on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket fellout with the ODM leader whom he supported in the 2013 and 2017 general elections, after the handshake with President Kenyatta.

According to Muthama, he was annoyed and felt betrayed since he and other leaders had put in a lot of work in NASA, but Raila failed to inform them of his plans, creating an impression that they were not important.

He is currently supporting Deputy President William Ruto for the presidency.
