Mudavadi made the announcement via his social media platforms where he was captured signing documents. 

"I am deeply honoured to be endorsed by the @anc_party delegates as the party's presidential flag bearer in the 2022 polls. Asanteni sana. Uchumi Bora Pesa Mfukoni," he tweeted. 

The ANC party is holding its National Delegates Congress at the Bomas of Kenya where Mudavadi will make his stand on the direction he intends to take ahead of the August polls. 

"At the Bomas of Kenya for the @anc_party National Delegates Congress. The delegates are to ratify my endorsement for the 2022 presidential election," Mudavadi said.

Hundreds of ANC supporters trooped to Bomas on Sunday for the much-awaited announcement by the party leader Mudavadi.
