The move by ANC to join DP Ruto's camp has sparked a huge debate on the 2022 succession politics.

Kakamega Senator Cleophas has defended ANC decision to join the United Democratic Alliance party (UDA).

While reacting to a comment by a social media user who castigated the ANC for making a wrong move by joining UDA, the senator stated that their move was strategic.

Fwamba NC Fwamba had, on Facebook, written: "This is a joke! Known thieves of public resources saying they want to liberate Kenya?"

Fwamba is a political commentator who is supporting the Azimio La Umoja movement that is under the leadership of ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Malala dismissed his sentiments saying the ANC and UDA parties have the best economic strategy that will change the lives of many Kenyans.

"It takes a thief to catch another. Your camp has economic crooks," Malala fired back.

While a section of Kenyans believe the move is wise, others have castigated the ANC leader saying he has committed political suicide.

Mudavadi on Sunday, during the ANC National Delegates Conference, announced that he won't be working with Raila for the August 9, elections.

He, however, expressed commitment to working with DP Ruto who was present at his NDC.
His decision to invite Ruto has sparked a fall-out with the OKA team who have accused him of betrayal.

OKA leaders namely Wiper Kalonzo Musyoka and KANU's Gideon Moi were forced to walk out of the function after learning that the DP was to attend.
