ODM leader Raila Odinga has finally broken his silence on ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi's move to join deputy president William Ruto's camp.

Speaking on Thursday while welcoming a team of defector's, Raila dismissed the move terming Ruto and Mudavadi as birds of the same feathers.

Raila said he is not shaken because of Mudavadi's move to join the UDA party.

“Kama unataka kuenda kwenda kabisa, wazungu wanasema eti birds of the same features flock together. Kuna kitu mbayo inauganisha hawa watu Pamoja. Yeye anajua, iko kitu kwa kimombo ambayo inaitwa common denominator ” Raila said.

Loosely translated to: " If you want to go, you go for good. There is an adage that says birds of the same feathers flock together. There is something that unites the two people. He knows there is something referred to as a common denominator".

Raila maintained that his presidential bid is still strong despite the defections.

He spoke during a meeting with a host of Luhya leaders who were defecting to the ODM party in protest of Mudavadi's move to join the UDA party.

The leaders included several MCAs.

Later in the day, Raila welcome Luhya MPs to his camp. They included Lurambi MP Titus Khamala, Tindi Mwale (Butere) among others.

The move has dealt Musalia a blow given that he has lost at least six MPs to Raila's camp.

Musalia on Sunday, while launching his presidential bid declared that he will be working closely with the DP.

He also made it clear that Azimio La Umoja movement under ODM leader Raila Odinga is not an option for him.
