Senator Kilonzo Junior Say he will lead his team in shooting it down saying all results must be submitted publically and electronically.

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has declared war on the new law seeking to allow manual transmission of elections results.

This is after it emerged that the National Assembly Majority Leader Amos Kimunya is working on a bill that will allow results to be transmitted manually when Kiems kits fail.

The law will also require returning officers to, in person, submit the results to the IEBC after the voting and counting exercise is concluded.

The Bill has attracted opposition from some leaders who have labelled it as retrogressive.

Senator Kilonzo Junior says he will lead his team in shooting it down saying all results must be submitted publically and electronically.

"This is completely unnecessary! All results must be publicized. We will oppose," he said.

His remarks come hours after Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria weighed in on the matter and urged his colleagues to oppose the Bill.

He termed the Bill as a recipe for chaos saying it will take Kenya to 2007-2008 post-election violence.

"I urge Junet Mohammed to lead the Azimio team in opposing just like he did in 2016. Otherwise, you will cry in the toilet thinking you are fixing others. Utanikumbuka," Moses Kuria said.

He added: "I strongly stood for electronic transmission of Presidential results and electronic voter identification that some top honchos in government and Jubilee suspected I had been brainwashed by the NASA side".
