President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday, February 4 chaired a Jubilee Party's Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting at State House, Nairobi in a bid to hold talks regarding the August 9 General Elections.  

In the meeting, Uhuru dismissed claims that Jubilee is 'dead' noting that they have been working and it was time to come out and participate in political activities. 

The Head of State also noted that the party would rebrand and recruit in preparation for the forthcoming 2022 elections. 

"Jubilee haikufa, Jubilee ilienda kazi. We have been working and we have a track record to show for it," Uhuru said during the meeting.

Further, the Jubilee Party will seek to get into a coalition with like-minded parties and support a presidential candidate with whom they share common ideals. 

Uhuru will continue as the Jubilee party leader, even as the party enters into this political season and he will lead the party to achieve the goals and objectives stated above. 

Uhuru invited MPs for the meeting on Thursday, February 3 where they were set to discuss party matters and also review and formulate party policies. 

"I wish to invite you to a Jubilee Party consultative meeting, with our party leader H E Uhuru Kenyatta, at State House Nairobi, on Friday, February 4, at 9 am," read the invite.
