  • Mutua now accuses Mudavadi of copying his ideas, terms him as an elderly leader now seeking to act young.
  • He has challenged the ANC leader to join his camp since he has run out of ideas.

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has ridiculed Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi accusing him of riding on his creativity to gain political mileage ahead of the next general elections.

Mutua claims that the ANC leader has been copying not just sections his manifesto but also imitates his mastery  and delivery in 'sheng' whenever addressing Kenyans.

He now wants Mudavadi to desist from stealing his ideas citing a recent video released showing Mudavadi targeting the youthful Kenyan voters as he struggled to speak in sheng.

"In the last one year, my supporters and I have noticed that every time I go public with an idea, a concept and even part of my manifesto, a few days or weeks later, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, comes out and says the same things or attempts to replicate what I have done," claimed Mutua in a statement through his social media.

The stylish governor went further to state that; "this has been going on for long enough. It has reached such high levels that when I strategize with my team, we joke that we have to be hush hush or Mudavadi and other leaders will copy us."

Mutua singled out on Mudavadi, asking him to keep off his ideas or join his camp. He argues that his ideas were being replicated by more leaders and it was clear he had the minds the country needs.

"Kenya needs creative and innovative leaders who have thought through how to transform Kenya and not copy artists. When you copy, it means you have run out of your own ideas," added the governor, now keen on clinching the presidency.
