Raila further said that Rosemary had visited five countries in search for medication before being referred to India. 

ODM leader Raila Odinga has disclosed that his daughter, Rosemary is making good progress after undergoing specialised treatment in India. 

Speaking in an interview with Asian News International (ANI), the ODM leader described his daughter's recovery journey as one of faith and resilience, also disclosing that he had travelled to India to check on Rosemary. 

"My daughter got sick three years ago. She had a brain hemorrhage. She was operated on in Nairobi and in the process, they interfered with her optic nerve," he said. 

Raila further said that Rosemary had visited five countries in search of medication before being referred to India. 

"We then sent her to Germany where they were doing some kind of electrode treatment where they were helping her regain her sight

"That was not successful and everybody was now giving up," be stated.

Talking to News18, Rosemary's doctor Hari Nambudiri said her optic nerve was extensively damaged but they were able to help her regain her sight fully. 

"When she came a few days ago, she was excited that she could see everything. Before this visit, she had come during the Onam season and she was fascinated by the taste and smell of the food on offer

"This time, when she could see the dishes and her room, her happiness knew no bounds," he said.  

Rosemary is expected to fly back to the county today, Monday, February 14.
