Tension is high in Kibra after a woman was hit and killed by a military ambulance in 42 Kianda Area.
Angry residents took to the streets to protest the death of the 70-year-old woman.
Their attempts to set ablaze the vehicle were rebuffed by armed security officers who acted swiftly.
By the time of going to the press, the body was still at the scene.
The military vehicle, according to a Citizen TV report, was overtaking a lorry when it hit the woman killing her instantly.

Kibra sub-county deputy commissioner Gideon Ombongi has confirmed the incident Citizen Tv reported.
He said officers have been deployed at the scene to contain the situation.
Ombongi said investigations into the incident are on course.
