This is the second deal the DP is brokering considering last week, he implored upon Tharaka Nithi Senator to quit the governor seat race.

Deputy President William Ruto has yet again brokered another deal that will see the UDA party fail to hold a nomination for the Governor Seat Aspirant in Narok County.

This is after he rallied other aspirants to back former CAS Patrick Ole Ntutu for the governor seat ahead of the August 9, elections.

In a deal that was apparently sealed at Ruto’s official Karen meeting after an intense meeting, other aspirants agreed to step down for Ntutu.

The DP was full of gratitude for the leaders who refused to be selfish and willingly backed their counterparts for the seat.

"I salute leaders from Narok County for embracing consensus as a way of identifying contenders for the various seats in the county in the upcoming UDA nominations. Congratulations Hon Patrick Ntutu following your endorsement by your colleagues and supporters to run for the seat of the governor for Narok County," Ruto said.

This is the second deal the DP is brokering considering last week, he implored upon Tharaka Nithi Senator to quit the governor seat race leaving the incumbent with a chance to clinch the seat on a UDA party ticket.

The move is a wake-up call to the Azimio La Umoja linked to President Uhuru Kenyatta who has endorsed the ODM leader Raila Odinga for the presidency.

Azimio having so many parties allied to it faces a hard time in choosing candidates for various elective seats in the August polls.

The planned fielding of candidates by various parties linked to Azimio is likely to divide the votes and subject the Azimio team to a losing path as their rivals appear united for various seats.
