Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has said that the Raila Odinga-led Azimio la Umoja Movement is Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka's Political lifeline.

Taking to Twitter, Kibwana said that after the departure of Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula, One Kenya Alliance (OKA) became the Wiper party.

He insisted that the current coalition partners Gideon Moi and Cyrus Jirongo are all supporting the former Prime Minister, while Martha Karua is part of the Mt. Kenya Leaders Forum.

The governor said he wishes the Wiper leader would follow him and fellow Ukambani governors to the Azimio movement.

"Kalonzo's political oxygen is Azimio. After Musalia & Wetangula left OKA, it became just WIPER. Gideon & Jirongo are sympathetic to Raila. Narc-Kenya is in Mt Kenya Leaders' Forum, first and foremost. I wish Stephen could amicably follow his governor colleagues into Azimio," Kibwana said.

Kibwana's reaction came after OKA announced that they had initiated talks with ODM and Jubilee parties on a possible coalition.

"We are open to the formation of a Grand Coalition to be known as the Azimio - One Kenya Alliance that shall be anchored on three equal pillars," said Kalonzo.

"... open and structured dialogue with like-minded political formations - namely the Jubilee Coalition and the ODM Party."
